The very best from the 2018 Met Gala

3583C4CA-A5CB-4944-B601-E9533E8D5592It’s fashion’s night of nights and this year’s theme – Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. While we’re mesmerised every year by the incredible fashion from arguably the best high fashion brands in the world.

From conservative yet elegant nun-inspired ensembles to full jeweled queens, the theme really inspired a diverse range of outfits. Here’s how our favorites interpreted the theme:

Rhianna – Fit for a Queen

No other woman could achieve such an extra level of bejeweling with the same amount of grace as Rihanna. Channeling vibes from the top of the Catholic Church, the Pope, RhiRhi adds a feminine twist to the church’s hierarchy.

Jourdan Dunn – A Vision in White

Sophisticated meets sexy in this nun-inspired look. A thigh high spilt and open diamond chest contrasts the pure colour and otherwise modest outfit.

Winnie Harlow – Our Angel

This girl can do no wrong and she proved it in this angelic white ensemble. The flattering shape of the dress delivers a sophisticated and impactful look that draws attention to the intricacy and delicacy of her head piece. She’s the closest we’ve seen of a real life angel.

Janelle Monet – Naughty Meets Nice

Finally, one of our all time favourites from the night, Janelle Monae sports a black and white ensemble that resembles that of the Cruella DeVille villain. With the bold juxtaposition of the solid white and black, we can see an element of heaven and hell coming through. Accessorised perfectly with a halo-like head piece.
