NYFW Theme of Diversity

New York Fashion Week may be coming to a close, but today we would like to highlight how diverse the multiculturalism was on the runway.

Fenty X Puma

Let’s start with Rihanna’s collaboration with Fenty x Puma. Rihanna was driven on the runway by a scooter, wearing the style that she created. All models walked adorning Rihanna’s makeup and supporting her goal for a more varied colour of models on the runway. Her show was activewear with a twist, heeled sandals and sportswear sunglasses took over the show.

Brandon Maxwell

Brandon Maxwell, damn does he know how to diversify models! His runway show, not only broadcast beautifully designed clothes but also since beginning his label has upheld the standard of multiculturalism the fashion industry has needed.

Helmut Lang

Helmut Lang decided to show us all how diversity is done by selecting models from different backgrounds and corners of the world for this show. The collection was out there and only to be worn by the most daring.

Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs, provided his viewers with models of colour and incorporated different ethnic styles into his collection. All models wore beautifully designed head scarfs to match they’re bright loosely fitted outfits.

Micheal Kors

Michael Kor, not only had many women of colour in his show, but he also displayed the different body shapes of beauty.

Tom Ford

Tom Ford, decided to make this collection suit power based and had the lineup of fiercely diverse models to pull it off.

Claps to the casting directors of each individual show. One small step can make such a difference in the perception of beauty for the next generation.
