The American award ceremony that recognises excellence in the television may have delivered its awards already. But I would simply like to reflect on the celebration of beautiful fashion and milestones that took place.
Let’s begin with Donald Glover, he was nominated in four categories, and one of the awards he won on the night was the Best-Directing Comedy Award. Donald happened to be the first ever black person to win this award- go him! He also managed to take home the Best Actor in a Comedy Prize, with his show Atlanta, which just so happened to be a crowd favourite at the Emmys this year, nominated for six awards overall.
Tracee Ellis Ross showed herself off in a glitzy glam, feathered dress. It was Chanel Couture, of course. She styled it with Irene Neuwirth Jewellery and Roger Vivier Shoes.
Zoe Kravitz, wore a stunning Dior dress, with gradual pastel colours the flowed right down to the red carpet. Tiffany and Co Jewellery adorned her neck and was also featured beautifully on her hands.
Yara Shahidi wore Prada and wow did she pull it off. The stunning green detail complimented her skin tone and the cut of the dress, cinched at the waist, and the frills on the shoulders definitely had me jealous. The hair pulled back, and the long dangly earrings went with the ethereal Princess vibe.
Tessa Thompson opted for a more daring dress. Designed by Rosie Assoulin, the strong but vibrant colours provided a powerful combination.
Samira Wiley wore an utterly classic cut dress. Made by Christian Siriano, the bodice cut out, and high neckline made sophisticated look stunningly fierce.
Gabrielle Union’s dress was impressive! The lace detail and sheer patterned look from the bodice down truly stood out as a favourite.
All in all, it was a night to be remembered, congratulations everyone!
